Bio-toilet and Bio-digester Technology for DIF

The DRDO innovated Bio-digester technology promoted by CIPS (Centre for Innovation in Public Systems, Hyderabad) can be a new area to work upon in our District. The cost is comparable with traditional aerobic digestion of human waste. The advantage is that it is maintenance free and as there is 100 % digestion and no sludge remains, the scope of manual scavenging is brought to zero.

Mandatory Construction of Permanent Display Board for all Development schemes

It has been the standing instruction from the end of the District to all Executing agencies asking them to construct Permanent Display Board at the site of implementation of all the schemes. For this the Executing Agencies have been asked to keep provision for erection of Permanent Concrete Display Board in the estimates prepared for necessary vetting and financial sanction.

Sadly, only a few Executing Agencies have complied so far.

It is hereby repeated that there should be no further exception in carrying out the stipulation made above. Photographs of the scheme should include photograph of concrete display board taken from close quarters. Failure to submit this will result in withholding the release of the second instalment for the scheme.

Website updation

As decided today in the meeting presided by the District Magistrate, Dakshin Dinajpur the website hosted by the NIC will have to be updated within fifteen days. There would be a monthly reporting format to be updated regularly with one page report on every developmental scheme. The DIO, NIC shall develop a system so as to incorporate a tab in the page for the different sections of the Collectorate. Clicking this a page having the reporting formats will pop up and the concerned officer can edit and update it. Development & Planning, Panchayet &RD, NREGA will initially begin this exercise. This will be eventually followed up by other sections.

Purpose of this blog

Our purpose is to establish a Inter departmental as well as a Government- Public interface where the achievements of the District concerning Development and Planning will be showcased and people will find chances to post their comments to help us to improve the quality as well as the service delivery mechanism.
